Dahlap Homestay Pelling West Sikkim India http://www.hotsia.com > Sikkim India > Dahlap Homestay Pelling West Sikkim India Travel information for Sikkim State (SIKKIM) India (INDIA) Mr.Hotsia recommends hotels in Sikkim State Siliguri (Siliguri) Pelling West Sikkim India Pelling is a town in West Sikkim, India located at an altitude of 2,150 meters

(7,200 feet) The town is located 10 kilometers from the district office of Geyzing. Regular bus services connect these two towns. However, with the influx of tourists in this region, changes are underway with roads being repaired and hotels continuously established. The Himalayas and Kanchenjunga can be viewed closely from Pelling. Travelers and adventurers come to explore the surrounding forests and nature here.
Pelling remains a pristine land. During the winter months, Pelling is covered with snow. Pelling is 115 kilometers from the state capital Gangtok in Assam and about 135 km from Siliguri which has an airport. All travel within Sikkim uses jeep buses connecting various towns including Pelling, Jorethang, Kalimpong, and Namchi. The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri. Most of the people in
Pelling are Buddhists and speak the Sikkimese language. Other languages spoken include Nepali, Hindi, and English. About 1 hour from Pelling, there are villages of local residents living along the ridges with homestays available for tourists. I received information from a tour company in Pelling and decided to stay at this homestay for one night. The charm of this homestay is that the owner demonstrates making roti from pounding rice, preparing the dough, to frying the roti snack.
They also serve guests with a respectful hand gesture after every serving. I followed the preparation of local food in the kitchen for breakfast. I missed dinner because I mistakenly thought the snack was the dinner meal. During my stay, I was the only guest, feeling warm amidst nature with cool fresh air. I recommend friends to visit this place. mr.hotsia travel with joy
