You have to rely on hotels that serve food to find meat dishes. Around the central part of this town, there are only a few restaurants selling Indian food focused on spiced curries and several momo shops. The hotel I stayed at the first night also served local dishes and Sikkim beer. For me, eating at local homes was best—I bought chicken from the market to cook for them or chose shops selling chicken stir-fried noodles, which was sufficient. I was impressed by the delicious Nepali food I ate in the village where I stayed.
