There are both sleeper buses and regular air-conditioned buses. They depart in the afternoon and arrive in the morning. The bus does not run fast at first because it keeps loading goods along the route until Pakse. After dark, it drives faster. Therefore, the journey from Salavan to Pakse takes several hours. I regret not visiting Phin town on the northern route of Salavan, which is a less good road to Phin town in Savannakhet province. It is a shorter route without detours but is mainly used by locals. Next time, Mr.Hotsia will visit to see if there is anything interesting. Mr.Hotsia recommends hotels in Salavan.
