Travel Saravan: Getting to Tad Lo Waterfall

Getting to Tad Lo Waterfall http://www.hotsia.com > Travel Saravan > Getting to Tad Lo Waterfall There are several routes to visit Tad Lo Waterfall. The route I took starts from Thatheng in Sekong Province. There are minivans departing at scheduled times, sometimes delayed. From here, head north for another 21 kilometers to Ban Bang on the left. From Ban Bang, walk to Kua Se Market, another 6 kilometers, then continue another 1 kilometer to the accommodation area.

Alternatively, you can take the route from Pakse. Take a bus at Pakse Bus Station heading to Saravan, about 7 kilometers south of the city. The bus to Saravan turns left before Pak Song and passes through Kua Se Market. Then walk from there. Another popular option among foreigners is to rent a motorcycle from Pakse and explore on their own: Thatheng, various waterfalls like Tad Yeuang, Pha Suam, and then visit Tad Lo Waterfall. Stay overnight here because accommodation is affordable, then continue exploring other places the next morning.

mr.hotsia traveled from Sekong, waited for the bus at Thatheng. The bus left Thatheng at 2 PM to Ban Bang, then walked 6 kilometers to Kua Se. Luckily, a passing vehicle gave a ride. Actually, there are regular buses from Ban Bang to Kua Se near Tad Lo, but you have to wait for the bus; they run every hour. Upon arriving at Kua Se, I recommend strolling to enjoy the view; just a few hundred meters leads to the Tad Lo waterfall accommodation zone. mr.hotsia recommends hotels in Saravan. Wait for the bus at Thatheng before traveling to Ban Bang, then transfer to the road leading to Tad Lo entrance.

Accommodation at Tad Lo costs 80 baht per night. Travel map for visiting Lo Market, Pakse, Pak Song, Champasak 15°25'44.849"N, 106°22'46.163"E. You can view the location on satellite maps.
