The short film by Nong Nene. On the day I arrived and stayed at a military guesthouse, I later found out there was a local homestay next door. I contacted them to move there the next day, but the caretaker did not allow it. So, I arranged to cook three meals at that house: breakfast started with a morning market visit, lunch was sticky rice with mango, and dinner was a simple home-style meal. The young woman at this house is half Tai Red and half Burmese, so her Thai language skills are limited.
However, I was impressed by their hospitality; it was one of my first meals at Indawgyi. The homestay here offers a separate room from the owner's house, with a bed and mosquito net since mosquitoes and insects are abundant in this area. The price is about 500 baht per night, including meals (if I remember correctly). I recommend staying at a homestay if you have limited days. There are three homestays at Indawgyi.
