Ann has 2 small hotels with separate bathrooms, mainly for Burmese guests. Ann is a town with a strong military presence.
I went to the morning market where some people dressed in military uniforms stopped to watch me walk through the market, seemingly interested in a tourist visiting. This town has an airport but no flights currently arrive (Ann Airport). I stayed one night in Ann, walked the morning market, then continued to Magway. Ann is not very interesting, but if your transport connections are inconvenient, you might have to stay here. I did not see any tourists in Ann. Unless necessary, it is not recommended to stop here.
