Huai Nam Dang is a beautiful sea of mist viewpoint. Most people visit in winter, which I also recommend because besides seeing the beautiful sea of mist,
the restaurant at the top is also open. I recommend camping at Huai Nam Dang at least once in your life. Booking accommodation and tents at the national park is very easy. Just go to the national park's website, book, and pay at Krung Thai Bank, and it's done. The tent fee is also affordable. Huai Nam Dang has separate male and female restrooms. The women's restroom is well-maintained and private, with water for bathing but no hot water. The best camping zone is Zone A,
because it is under pine trees, so you don't have to worry about dew. The farthest zone is Zone E. At night, Huai Nam Dang is lit all night, and from the sunset viewpoint, you can see the bright lights of Pai town. I recommend arriving at Huai Nam Dang around 4:00 PM. Don't come late to disturb others who are sleeping. When I stayed, I encountered a group drinking until midnight, which was annoying. Huai Nam Dang has two main spots: the camping area, which is suitable for watching the sunset,
and another spot at Doi Kiu Lom, located on the way up to the campsite on the right, about 900 meters from the camping area. You can go there as well. Doi Kiu Lom is a viewpoint for sunrise and sea of mist. Here, mountains block the sun, so when it rises, the light is dazzling and large. Therefore, the sea of mist is the main attraction.
