Mae U-Kho Doi Tung Mexican Sunflower Fields http://www.hotsia.com > Mae Hong Son > Mae U-Kho Doi Tung Mexican Sunflower Fields Travel trip by Mr.Hotsia in Pai, Mae Hong Son, Khun Yuam, Mae Sariang. Mr.Hotsia recommends hotels, green Mexican sunflower fields 2015, coffee shops and restaurants in Pai, Pai historical bridge, Pai travel map, Pai city view from Mae Yen Pagoda, good morning Mae Sariang, cycling tour in Mae Sariang, temple meal at Wat Tham Ngao, Fish SPA Mae Sariang, from Mae Sariang to Khun Yuam.

Salawin fish at Than Phochana restaurant, searching for Sa Nga fish at Mae Sariang market, the most beautiful garden coffee in Thailand, traveling Mae La Noi (Hern Tai), haircut and news hunting in Mae Hong Son, climbing Don Kong Mu Pagoda, Jok Saow Mae Hong Son, sleeping in Sri Saeng Dao cinema Khun Yuam, Khabong Thai Yai snack, Khun Yuam - Mae Hong Son viewpoint, exciting trip to green Mexican sunflower fields at Doi Mae U-Kho. The Mexican sunflower fields at Doi Mae U-Kho are located in Khun Yuam. If traveling from Mae Sariang, after passing the town about 1-2 kilometers,
there will be a right turn leading another 30 kilometers. The Mexican sunflowers bloom during November and December when the flowers turn beautifully yellow. When I visited at the end of October, the flowers were still green. Although the Mexican sunflower fields cover hundreds of rai, the main viewing point prepared for visitors that I saw is quite large but can only accommodate a limited number of people at once. Therefore, I recommend visiting outside of festivals or long holidays for the best experience.
From Mae U-Kho Doi Tung Mexican Sunflower Fields, you can return via a new route using the road to Mae Chaem. From Mae Chaem, you ascend Doi Inthanon at the mid-mountain point and then descend to Chiang Mai. The road from Mae U-Kho to Mae Chaem is narrow with many curves and slow driving. This route passes Pang Ung but it is a different Pang Ung from Ban Rak Thai. This route is recommended for daytime driving only as it is remote, narrow, and steep in some sections. However, once you reach Mae Chaem, the roads are good. The road from Mae Chaem to Chiang Mai is good but steep when climbing Doi Inthanon.
Drive using low gear only and avoid excessive braking. Mr.Hotsia's exciting trip, October 2015. GPS coordinates (POI): 18°48'24.095"N, 98°56'48.719"E
