Journey from Mae Sariang to Khun Yuam. After spending two or three days traveling Mae Sariang, this morning I set off to continue my trip to Khun Yuam. Traveling by bus is the charm of this route.
Because you get to talk with various hill tribe people who take turns getting on and off the bus, gaining more life experience. The bus between Khun Yuam and Mae Sariang is a large bus running from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son via Mae Sariang. There are 5 trips daily but only 3 run during the day. There are also songthaews but they are not very popular. I waited for the bus around morning. The bus was a bit late but full. Most passengers got off at Mae Sariang, so I got a seat to chat with locals heading that way.
The bus ride was smooth and safe. On the bus, there were foreign tourists as well. Along the way, some Shan people got on. One spoke English with the foreigners—really impressive (the person wearing a hat, see the photo below). I arrived in Khun Yuam just after 1 PM and looked for accommodation. I saw an advertisement for Ban Pee Ruan Nong guesthouse in Khun Yuam. I wondered what formula they use to calculate because in Lamphun they say staying one night extends your life by ten thousand years, and at Phayao’s Win Hotel, it also adds many years. Just joking around, haha.
For those following my trip, I wish you fun. Mr.Hotsia takes the bus from Mae Sariang to Khun Yuam. The atmosphere on the bus is friendly and comfortable. Travelers prepare to board the bus. Wherever you stay, that’s where you sleep with Mr.Hotsia. This bus goes to Tha Song Yang. I will go there next time. Mae Sariang also has a motorcycle queue. This rider is a woman. After boarding, I got a seat because many people got off. These are Shan people chatting on the bus. On the way to Khun Yuam, Mae Sariang-Khun Yuam-Mae Hong Son bus schedule. This bus continues all the way to Mae Hong Son.
Staying one night in Khun Yuam extends your life by 7 years; Lamphun says ten thousand years.
