After arriving in Khun Yuam and settling at Mitr Khun Yom accommodation, I explored Khun Yuam town. In Khun Yuam town, there are three temples: Wat Muay Tor, Wat Photharam, Wat Khum. Wat Tor Pae is 7 kilometers away.

I took a bus, so I didn't visit Wat Tor Pae. I walked around nearby and captured photos and clips of all three temples. Each temple has unique beauty and history as follows: Wat Tor Pae, Ban Tor Pae, Mae Ngao Subdistrict, about 7 km from Khun Yuam market area, features a large Burmese-style viharn beautifully constructed. Inside the temple are curtains woven and embroidered with ancient Burmese art. Wat Muay Tor (Wat Phra That), Khun Yuam Subdistrict, located along the Khun Yuam-Mae Hong Son road within Khun Yuam municipality.

Wat Photharam (Wat Pho) was built in 1932 by Kru Wong Nakhatta, Mr. Ueng Sopa, and Mr. Duangkaew Chaina, who led the community in founding the temple. Originally named Wat Muang due to a large mango tree on the grounds, it was renamed Wat Photharam around 1957. Locals call it Wat Pho. It received its official boundary on June 23, 1977. The first known abbot was Kruba Thammasorn; the current abbot is Phra Kru Anusart Kosol.

He is also the Khun Yuam district chief monk. Wat Photharam promotes cultural activities and moral development regularly for the public, students, and youth. Wat Khum is located in Village No. 2, Khun Yuam Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province. According to history, it was built in 1791 by Mae Thao Nang Chong Yod and local devotees who donated funds to establish the temple, originally called Wat Chong Khum, likely named after the lowland area where it is situated.

It was abandoned for a period but later restored. Unique features compared to other temples in Khun Yuam include the entrance gate pavilion used as a resting place or storage for belongings such as hats and shoes before entering the temple. The temple also houses Burmese-style wooden chests decorated with glass, registered with the Fine Arts Department, Ministry of Culture. Wat Muay Tor, Mae Hong Son, Wat Kham in Khun Yuam District, Wat Khun in Khun Yuam District. On the way to Wat Khun, there are Burmese-style statues at Wat Muay Tor.
