Travel Pai - Wat Nam Hu, Pai
http://www.hotsia.com > Wat Nam Hu was among the first Unseen Thailand sites because this temple has water flowing from the Buddha's head. The top part of the Buddha's head, which looks like flames, can be removed. Inside, there are three buttons, and water actually flows from here. I, Mr.Hotsia, was curious if this was true, so I asked the temple caretaker. He explained that it has been verified as true. He said that during the verification, officials from the district government and monks were present.

Local villagers also witnessed the process. The procedure started by absorbing all the water from the Buddha's head, then replacing the head as before, sealing it with a stamped seal, and closing the ordination hall for one week. After that, everyone opened it together. Since then, Wat Nam Hu instantly became an Unseen Thailand site, attracting continuous visitors for worship. The temple also mixes the water from the Buddha's head into holy water for visitors to take home. Therefore, anyone visiting Pai should find time to visit and pay respects here at least once.
After paying respects, I recommend driving a little further to enjoy tea, horse riding, and tasting steamed buns before returning to Pai. This place is located in Village No. 5, Wiang Tai Subdistrict, about 3 kilometers from the district center towards Pai Hospital. It houses Phra Un Muang, a sacred Buddha statue in the Lanna style, depicting the Mara Vichai posture, made of bronze and approximately 500 years old. The exact history of its creation is uncertain, but it is believed to have been made by King Naresuan the Great.
It was made as a royal merit offering to his elder sister, Princess Suphankanlaya. Behind the ordination hall, there is also a memorial stupa for Princess Suphankanlaya. For those who might get lost, I have prepared a map for you. See Pai travel map here. Mr.Hotsia recommends this temple with the Buddha whose head produces water.
