He even drove around to find accommodation for me before parting ways with Pho Luang Awut. I bought salted sea fish and salted squid to send to his parents on Doi Pa Daeng. I hadn't showered for several days; tonight was my first night in the city, and I felt I could finally sleep comfortably. I sent my clothes for laundry to prepare for the next journey. My accommodation tonight is "Win Hotel," a beautifully new boutique hotel right next to the morning market in downtown Phayao. The price is affordable, only 290 baht for an air-conditioned room.

The room is clean, water pressure is strong, and there is no odor. The hotel just opened a few months ago. Before finding this place, I searched for accommodation near Kwan Phayao to walk the walking street tonight, but prices were expensive, starting from 500 baht per night. Even just a tent costs a night. I recommend staying in the city for convenience rather than by the lake. The new View Hotel in Phayao costs 290 baht. Kwan Phayao on a smoky day.

Phayao province has no public buses running within the city like other provinces. Phayao is a small province, and without a private vehicle, getting around is difficult. I showered and worked uploading information to the website until evening, planning to find a ride to Kwan Phayao but couldn't find any public transport. There were only motorcycle taxis at certain points. So I had to walk from View Hotel to Kwan Phayao, about a kilometer, which was quite tiring after a relaxing shower.

Kwan Phayao Walking Street is a brand-new walking street opened just a few months ago. It operates every Friday and Saturday from about 3 to 10 PM, similar to many other walking streets. Kwan Phayao Walking Street doesn't focus on local products; mostly it offers food and daily necessities for Phayao locals to relax on their weekend. My favorite stops were the shaved ice stall and the fried fish roe stall.

The shaved ice stall has a long queue, guaranteeing deliciousness, so I queued as well. The new fragrant fried fish roe stall provides good protein. While walking, I found another stall selling fried cicadas; the seller seemed very skilled, so I filmed a clip to share with Hotsia.com friends. Kwan Phayao Walking Street has no major highlights but has a cozy shop called "Sabai Arom" which opened recently and features live music.

I'm not sure if the food is delicious because I was hungry and ordered stir-fried basil with fried egg and a little beer. I didn't taste the other dishes, but the atmosphere was great. Watching Phayao locals stroll along Kwan Phayao Walking Street was a unique joy. It was a lonely day for me. After planning for tomorrow and finishing two beers, there was no transport to return. A young man at the shop offered to take me back, but I felt shy. Thanks to the kindness of Phayao people, I finally walked back. I sincerely thank the kindness of Phayao people here again.

I slept deeply that night. In the morning, I woke up to take photos of Phayao morning market and see Kwan Phayao fish, but it was ordinary with nothing new. However, I liked the traditional coffee and soft-boiled eggs stall in front of Win Hotel. They use very large eggs, expertly soft-boiled, and the coffee is delicious. After relaxing there for a while, I returned to the hotel to prepare for the next trip to Chiang Kham. Today, I set off to Chiang Kham without a fixed plan where to stay.

I only knew I wanted to stay at a Tai Lue house, to eat, sleep, and live like them. Follow me for more. I traveled from Phayao to Chiang Kham, encountering things I had never seen before. It was exciting and fun. This young seller sells delicious fried fish roe cheaper than Fuji, haha. Another young seller sells fried crickets. Stir-fried basil with fried egg at Sabai Arom shop, Kwan Phayao Walking Street. Sri Thon fermented fish, a delicious Phayao specialty. This is dried fermented fish of the Tai Lue. The fermented fish seller told me about Phayao fermented fish. Goby fish from Kwan Phayao.

Fresh mole rats used for spicy stir-fry and northern-style curry at this stall selling fish from Kwan Phayao. The wild red-eyed bird looks scary but delicious, steamed northern style. Here are fresh mole rats ready for cooking. The atmosphere of Phayao morning market. The soft-boiled egg coffee stall I mentioned is delicious. Don't forget to try the traditional coffee in front of Win Hotel.
