A trip by Mr.Hotsia to Phetchabun to taste Miang Lao at Phetchabun morning market, Je Som Noodle Shop, coffee and scenic views along the route, the largest Phra Maha Thammaracha, rappelling at Wang Tum Waterfall, Phu Khaew Adventure Park, Phu Khaew steak with Jaew sauce, and grilled chicken from Wichian Buri. Let me recommend some delicious restaurants at Khao Kho because it can be hard to find good food while traveling. Near the Camp Son intersection, I found a great restaurant.

This restaurant was once featured in the Thai Rath newspaper. It serves wild food, home-style dishes, and fresh vegetables grown by the Hmong people themselves. Tourists visiting Khao Kho often rely on this place for meals. Khao Kho Kitchen receives fresh vegetables from the Hmong daily. In the morning, they serve pork blood soup, and in the late afternoon and evening, they offer made-to-order dishes. A unique dish you won't find anywhere else is made from ginger flowers, which bloom only once a year. They stir-fry it with a spicy flavor. I was lucky to visit in September during the rainy season.
Other dishes are equally delicious. I ordered ostrich stir-fried with black pepper, which was spicy and flavorful. The food prices are very reasonable. The locals run the restaurant, not investors from the city. In other words, this is a community-run place. Eating here helps distribute income to local communities. Khao Kho Kitchen in Phetchabun also sells fresh vegetables. GPS coordinates (POI) by Mr.Hotsia: 16 46 10.134 N, 101 2 39.966 E. Photos taken at Khao Kho Kitchen: 16 46 9.954 N, 101 2 39.852 E.
