Vung Tau Night Sea: The beauty and vibrancy you must experience

Vung Tau, a seaside city not far from Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the destinations mr.hotsia recommends to experience both day and night atmospheres. However, speaking from my latest visit, I must say that the Vung Tau night sea has a unique charm you won’t find elsewhere.

I traveled from Ba Ria city, a nearby province, taking about 20 kilometers by car to reach Vung Tau city. This province is considered the gateway to Vietnam’s southeastern coastline and is also an important economic and tourism hub. If you want detailed information about this province, mr.hotsia has already written about it atBa Ria - Vung Tau ProvinceReading it will give you a better overall understanding of the area.

Strolling Along Vung Tau Night Sea

As the sun sets and city lights begin to glow, I chose to walk along the coastal road between two hills called Big Mountain and Small Mountain. This road is important for locals and tourists alike as a public space for sitting, picnicking, or even playing guitar on quiet nights. What’s interesting is the lighting decoration that livens up the atmosphere. The night sea here is not dark but filled with colorful lights reflecting beautifully on the water.

Walking along the coastal path, I saw some youths riding motorcycles at high speed. While this adds liveliness, mr.hotsia recommends not walking too late at night for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.

The Attractions of Vung Tau Night Sea

Besides the beautifully lit sea view, I also witnessed the local lifestyle with people sitting and chatting casually. Some brought guitars and played soft music, adding a romantic vibe. These activities make Vung Tau night sea not just a tourist spot but a warm and impressive social space.

For those wanting a delicious dinner after the walk, I recommend trying the seafood buffet at Petro House Hotel, located near the sea. They offer a variety of fresh seafood including shrimp, shellfish, crab, and fish, which you can have grilled to your liking. They also have signature dishes like roasted duck and tender chicken that I really enjoyed. You can read my full review atSeafood Buffetto compare and plan your meals cost-effectively.

Travel and Accommodation in Vung Tau

For transportation, mr.hotsia used the bus service from Ba Ria to Vung Tau Bus Station, which is very convenient and offers connections to other Vietnamese cities such as Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, and Da Lat. For detailed travel information, I have documented it atVung Tau Bus Stationwhere you’ll find advice for safer and more comfortable travel options.

Accommodation is also very important. Vung Tau offers hotels and guesthouses at various levels. If you like sea views, I recommend staying on the east coast side for full sea views and easy beach access. If you prefer to be close to the city center and convenient transportation, I chose to stay in the area between the two hills, which allows easy access to both beaches and many delicious local restaurants. Experience Local Flavors and Lifestyle

If you still have time, don’t miss visiting the morning or night markets in Ba Ria city, not far from Vung Tau. I personally enjoy tasting fried chicken rice at the night market there. The rich flavor and unique frying style by the owner are very entertaining to watch. There are also other dishes like pork leg noodle soup with a very balanced taste. I have written about these in the articlesBa Ria Fried Chicken RiceandBa Ria Morning Marketwhich offer another perspective to truly understand the local life here.
