I have visited Phnom Penh many times but never seriously recommended a hotel, even though I always stay at the same place, which is Angkor Mithona Guest House. This hotel is located behind Wat Unalom, a temple facing the Tonle Sap River, next to the fresh market and not far from the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh. It is a very good location. The hotel is situated on a corner behind the temple where there are late-night restaurants, and it is also next to a grilled beef shop that I regularly visit. The hotel also has very fast internet. The internet speed here is faster than in other cities, so I recommend staying here.
