Special cities, the capital Vientiane, Salavan Province is familiar because of the song "Salavan gets shorter," an old traditional dance song well known to Thai people. This city historically has ties with Thailand. Salavan is a province that requires effort and investment to visit because there is no convenient onward route.
From Pakse to Salavan then to Savannakhet, the roads are bad. You have to return to Pakse again, so not many people visit Salavan Province. The well-known tourist attraction here is "Tad Lo Waterfall." Around Tad Lo Waterfall, there are two more waterfalls: "Tad Hang Waterfall." Other attractions are mostly ethnic tourism, less known. The rest is city tourism. Salavan Province has the Sedone River flowing through it.
From my travels to many provinces in Laos, I find Salavan has many government offices: courts, police, and others. It seems like a central city for these services. For Mr.Hotsia's tourism in Salavan Province, I traveled from Sekong, passing Tha Teng, visited Tad Lo Waterfall, then went to Salavan city. In Salavan Province, many Vietnamese live, similar to Sekong and Attapeu. There is a delicious Pho restaurant called Nang Taew.
The restaurant is always crowded.
