Traveling to Mawlamyine on Your Own - Mawlamyine Airport

As I write this, I am sitting at Mawlamyine Airport, a small airport in a valley similar to Mae Hong Son but smaller. The building is old. I am sitting next to Mon State police officers who are eating. My Nok Air flight will depart from Mawlamyine to Mae Sot at 10:05, but now it is 8:30, so I have a little time to write. The distance between the airport and Mawlamyine city is about 4 kilometers.

The fare from Mae Sot to Mawlamyine and from Mawlamyine Airport to the city is 100 baht per person. On the way here, I came alone and paid 200 baht for a taxi. On the way back, my friend left earlier. I returned alone and paid 3,000 kyats, about 90 baht, for a motorcycle I rented from The Breeze Guest House. Mawlamyine Airport, also called Mawlamyine Airport, has Nok Mini WiFi but no internet signal available. There are restrooms and immigration services.

The Mawlamyine immigration police provided excellent service, from arranging the taxi into town on arrival to greeting and assisting tourists on departure. The Nok Air girls in Mon Burmese style are charming, making Nok Air even more appealing. Mr.Hotsia's thrilling travel, October 28, 2013. Recommended affordable and good hotels in Mawlamyine include Breeze Guest House, where I stayed for 6 nights, the cheapest and best in Mawlamyine, and Cinderella Hotel.

Not far from the river, located in the city, within walking distance to the market. Convenient access to Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, not far. Attran Hotel is near the bridge to Mottama with beautiful river views, close to Mawlamyine morning market. Takeoff from Mawlamyine Airport Myanmar. Nok Air departs from Mae Sot Airport. Taxi from Mawlamyine Airport to the city. Nok Air girl at Mawlamyine Airport. Mr.Hotsia at Mawlamyine Airport.
