About 15-20 kilometers, round-trip motorcycle fare is 7,000 Kyat. I traveled on the last day before returning to Thailand, arriving at the trailhead around 3:00 PM. Then I had to take another 1-hour ride on a large 6-wheeled vehicle that can carry more than 30 people each trip. The fare was 1,000 Kyat each way. On the day I went, there were only 15 people, not enough to depart because no one wanted to pay extra. So I could only take pictures at the trailhead and photos of items sold there to share.
Also known as the Three Stone Pagodas, this is a small pagoda about 5 meters tall, standing vertically in a unique way. This pagoda does not attract many visitors compared to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda due to various factors. Unfortunately, I found out about this place last and couldn’t visit in time. Next time I come to Malameng, I will definitely go. Also, if I have enough money to pay a fine for a lost rental motorcycle, I will rent a motorcycle to explore because it’s economical, fun, and more convenient.
Motorcycle rental prices in Malameng, Mon State, Myanmar are about 10,000 Kyat per day, approximately 300 Baht or 10 USD, with 24-hour use and self-refueling. Mr.Hotsia, October 28, 2013. Recommended affordable and good hotels in Malameng: Breeze Guesthouse (I stayed here for 6 nights, the cheapest and best in Malameng), Cinderella Hotel (not far from the river, located in town, within walking distance to the market, convenient for visiting Kyaiktiyo Pagoda), and Attran Hotel.
